PERFORM

This portion of the year brings together everything our students have learned in theatre, from acting to backstage work. Each student will experience the entire process of creating a live performance, whether they’re in the spotlight or behind the scenes. Through hands-on workshops, rehearsals, and technical training, they will collaborate to bring a production to life, culminating in a final live performance that showcases their collective talents.

"The stage is not merely the meeting place of all the arts, but is also the return of art to life."

– Oscar Wilde

SCHOLARSHIP FUND CAMPAIGN

We’re excited to share that our GoFundMe for ARTS FOR ALL: The Artists Avenue Scholarship Campaign is still going strong—and it’s a year-round initiative! Every dollar raised goes directly toward providing tuition scholarships for talented young performers who need financial support.

Our Goal: We're aiming to raise $6,300 to fully fund 11 scholarships, including full-year, half-year, one-month, and workshop-inclusive awards.

We are continuously seeking support to meet the growing needs of our students. Whether through a donation, sharing the campaign, or simply spreading the word, every act of generosity helps make accessible arts education possible.

ALUMNI TESTIMONIALS

Emily Maino

“The Artists Avenue was such a comfortable and safe space for me to explore my emerging talents. It gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone, and because of that, my artistry grew by leaps and bounds. I was involved with the program for two years and during that time, I had the opportunity to play Ariel in The Little Mermaid and Jasmine in Aladdin. I’m now pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of the Arts, and I carry everything I learned at The Artists Avenue with me into my professional training.”

Francesca Tero

“The Artists Avenue was not only my first introduction to theatre, but it also gave me a strong sense of community through their passion for music and creative instruction. The unconditional support I received from fellow performers and the creative team shaped my growth both on and off the stage. They constantly encouraged me while challenging me to push past my limits, always working in the best interest of the artist and seeing our full potential. I’ll never forget the memories and friendships I made during my time there — it was such a meaningful part of my childhood and personal development. I was involved for about four years, starting with Mulan Jr. in 2014 and ending with Aladdin Jr. in 2018. During that time, I played Hong in Mulan Jr., Annie in Annie Jr., Aquata in The Little Mermaid Jr., and Jafar in Aladdin Jr.. I’m currently pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience at the University of Delaware.”

Karisma Garcia

“The Artists Avenue taught me to truly embrace and express my creativity and love for the arts. It was such a welcoming environment that allowed me to grow as a performer, and I’m so grateful for the amazing people I met who shared that same passion. I was involved for one year and performed as Manal in Aladdin Jr., while also serving as the understudy for Jasmine. I’m currently studying at Rutgers University, majoring in Linguistics with a minor in Music.”

“The Artists Avenue taught me the fundamentals of theatre and helped me blossom into the actor I am today. Being part of this program since their second show, Annie Jr., has been an incredible journey. Each production helped me grow not only in skill but also in confidence and passion for the arts. I’ve had the opportunity to perform in Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Music Man. I’m currently studying Psychology at Rutgers University.”

Tatyana Serrato

“Being a part of The Artists Avenue taught me how to be confident on stage and how to truly make a role my own. Before joining, I struggled with stage fright and could barely stand on stage without freezing up. But through years of training, the incredible teachers at Artists Ave helped me grow into the performer I am today. I was involved with the program from its founding in 2013 through 2018, and I continue to stay connected by working behind the scenes on current productions. I’m now a sophomore at New Jersey City University, studying Musical Theatre. My past roles include the Hairdresser/Han in Mulan, July in Annie, Madame De La Grande Bouche in Beauty and the Beast, Ursula in The Little Mermaid, and Rajah/Ensemble in Aladdin.”
